Christina McCutcheon

Grade 4/5

Christina McCutcheon is starting her third year at Issachar Christian Academy. She worked in the grade 1/2 classroom two years ago as an Educational Assistant, taught grade 4/5 last year and is teaching grade 4/5/6 this year.

Christina was raised in a Christian home and was blessed to have godly parents and grandparents. She made a decision to live for Christ at an early age and grew up serving in a variety of children and youth ministries. She moved to Digby, Nova Scotia, to start her teaching career where she met her husband and has been serving with him in ministry wherever God has led. Currently, they are serving in North Bay at Laurentian Wesleyan Church, striving to minister to those in the congregation and reach out to younger families within the community. Over the past few years God has placed a desire in her heart to work and minister to special needs children and their families.

When she has a moment of free time, Christina loves to relax at home with her husband Jason and her dog Digby, playing board games, baking, exploring new places and swimming. She also enjoys traveling to visit her family in Nova Scotia every summer.

Christina started teaching in Nova Scotia in 2002, and taught a variety of different grade levels. She was also a resource teacher. Since moving to North Bay she has been an Educational Assistant for three years and is excited to be teaching at Issachar last year and this fall. Christina’s greatest goal for the students at Issachar would be that they have heart knowledge of the scriptures and a real understanding of what they believe. Her prayer for the students is that they would be strong in their faith so that they will live their lives in ways that honour Christ and be able to share Him with the world.
